Georgia High School Student Suspended for Yearbook Quote
A Georgia high school senior student was suspended and told that she might not being able to walk at graduation because of a quote she put in the yearbook.
Paris Gray, class vice president at Mundy’s Mill High School, was called into the office last week when school officials discovered that her nerdy yearbook quote read “back that ass up” spelled in letters from the periodic table.
While most think it’s hilarious and clever, school officials were not at all amused.
Instead of suspending her and banning her from the senior walk, the school’s superintendent instead challenged her to give the “best senior speech ever,” which I’m sure the school will have to read and approve.
Long live the first amendment
