PREVIEW: Sticky Fingers at Larimer Lounge (TONIGHT!)

Sticky Fingers - Thailand - Landscape 1
Sydney, Australia-based band Sticky Fingers returns to Denver, tonight, after sold out dates at home to support a brand new single and video “Outcast at Last.” The track can be heard at https://soundcloud.com/sureshaker/sticky-fingers-outcast-at-last and viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ-pnbOxhcY. Sticky Fingers started 2016 by spending 4 weeks in Thailand at Karma Sounds Studios with producer Dann Hume recording their anticipated third album which is due in the fall. Previous U.S. touring included sold out shows in NY, LA and Austin.
Coming off the success of its critically acclaimed sophomore album Land Of Pleasure the band has had an impressive last few years. The lads spent most of 2015 abroad with a plethora of shows around the world, taking them to  the USA, Canada, Europe,  the UK, and New Zealand. They charted in their homeland and received accolades and sold out shows.   (For a full list of Australian awards, contact me.)  The band’s sound has been described as a combination of chill or psych rock with reggae undertones.  Some feel it is reminiscent of those great late 80s/early 90s UK bands we all loved like Oasis and Stone Roses.
Stickies also performed to a record-breaking early attendance crowd of 20,000 people at New South Wales music festival Splendour In The Grass in 2014, as well as played Falls Festival, Woodford Festival, Southbound Festival and BW Festival (NZ) all over one New Year period, sold out second and third dates on their national tours time and time again, as well as sold out a March Australian tour without even announcing it (and then did it AGAIN).
They graced magazine covers (draped in velvet and kittens), reached a milestone two million views on their video for ‘Australia Street’ as well as close to a million views on all their other videos.  Additionally the released a cover and video of The Specials “Ghost Town” to protest the Sydney liquor Lock Outs and subsequently made headlines with their views on the Laws and what it would mean for the Sydney music scene.
Tickets are still available for only $15 at the Larimer Lounge or online by clicking here.
Come see what the fuss is about and get sticky!
