Residents of City Park pissed about upcoming Chive Fest
First Byers forced us to move Riot Fest and now this?!?!
Residents of City Park are trying to fight Denver’s first-ever Chive Festival. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 16 and is expecting to bring in over 7,500 Chivers and Chivettes. Performing artists include Edward Sharp & the Magnetic Zeroes, Cold War Kids, Steel Panther, Talib Kweli, Delta Spirit, White Denim, Moon Taxi and Spanish Gold.
“You would think somewhere, someone, in some administration would realize we want it to be a quiet park in what is left of it,” South City Park resident Tom Morris told the Denver Post’s Reverb.
Chive Fest organizers, along with Denver Parks and Recreation, will meet with neighbors at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Wednesday night at 6 p.m. to discuss the concert. All are welcome to attend to speak out against the banning of Chive Fest – Denver.
