The Used – Fillmore Theater
The first time I had the pleasure of seeing “The Used” perform was back in 2007 during the “Taste of Chaos Tour”. In short, Bert McCracken(lead singer) and the gang can still put on an amazing show. It reminded me of the first time that I caught fire. Bert came on stage wearing a Karl Marx sweater. Which I thought was interesting. Throughout the concert, Bert would provide words of wisdom. I can’t remember everything that was said, I just know it made myself and the crowd feel good. I felt inspired to do more after leaving. After shedding the sweater, Bert made it known that hes a “Game of Thrones” fan by rocking the “Mother of Dragons” T-shirt. Which we all know is arguably the best show on TV right now. They covered a few of their classics as well as “Killing in the name” By “Rage Against the Machine” these songs brought the whole crowd together. The event wouldn’t have been complete without Bert dividing the crowd to form a couple of mosh pits/circle pits. All in all, I can’t wait to see them again.
